Unlocking the Power of Virtual Facilitation

Successfully gathering people online requires a new and different set of skills from facilitating in-person. We know that in-person a good facilitator can “read the room” and adapt their style, agenda, and activities to meet the participants where they are, and effectively facilitate their journey. This is much more difficult online. Even when participants do have their cameras turned on, it is very difficult to gauge engagement, energy, and understanding.

This section includes a series of videos about the foundational elements, as well as some activities to help you workshop an agenda and look at how adjustments you make can impact the experience of your participants.

To understand the skills required to facilitate online

    • Understand the foundations of online facilitation
    • Recognise the various roles that are needed for successful online facilitation
    • Work with frameworks for understanding pacing and managing energy levels
  • CONTENT CONTRIBUTED BY recognises the transformative power that convening, when done right, has to positively change the world.
